Farm to Table Philosophy – Organic Practices

  • Is the food really grown at the château?

Yes, Much of our produce comes directly from The Château Farm, including vegetables, lamb, eggs, dairy, herbs, and seasonal ingredients. Additional ingredients are sourced from trusted local producers.

  • Do you use organic ingredients?

The Château Farm, we follow organic growing principles across everything we do. Our vegetables are grown using regenerative land practices, and our animals — including sheep, cows and chickens — are raised on pasture on land managed without chemicals.

Our lamb is fully organic, and all of our animals are reared outdoors, living naturally on pasture throughout the year.

For our vegetable production, we discount ourselves from organic certification. This allows us the freedom to grow a wider range of heritage and speciality vegetable varieties, many of which are simply not available as certified organic seed. We are committed to saving heritage seed varieties, many of which have been around for over 100 years.

Our focus is on quality, seasonality, variety and transparency — growing and sourcing ingredients responsibly, and serving food that reflects the land it comes from.
